Thriving Cities Lab Project Manager
Originally from a small town outside of Worcester, Massachusetts, Caroline longed for sunnier days and milder winters. Upon completion of her bachelor’s degree with a dual major in Social Rehabilitation Services and Psychology from Assumption University, she joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, making her way to Atlanta, Georgia. There, Caroline served as a full-time volunteer working with teens aging out of foster care, aiming to promote self-sufficiency by coaching the skills of independent living.
Driven by a passion for social justice and building community, Caroline has always been active on the boards of school, community, and church groups. Her service extends to numerous organizations including United Way of Metro Atlanta, National Charity League, Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, Dunwoody UMC Youth Ministry Leadership Team, Catholic Charities Atlanta Family Stabilization Program, and Meals on Wheels.
Caroline continues to call the Atlanta area home, alongside her husband and three teenaged children. She enjoys hikes with their two rescue pups, experimenting with cooking, all aspects of fitness – especially following her favorite young athletes in powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, and soccer. After recently inheriting several houseplants from a loved one, her latest interest revolves around keeping these houseplants alive and happy, a hobby that, as it turns out, is slightly more forgiving than keeping teens alive and happy.
