Thriving Cities Lab Data Team Lead
Edward Hasecke holds an MA and PhD in Political Science from the Ohio State University and has served as Data Team Lead for the Thriving Cities Lab since 2022, overseeing survey design, community data analysis, and data visualization for both the Gainesville and Cave City projects. As Director of the Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Civic and Urban Engagement at Wittenberg University, Ed was closely engaged with the civic life of Springfield, Ohio. He developed through partnerships with the City of Springfield, Chamber of Commerce, Springfield City Schools, and local foundations the Engage Springfield website that made local data and reports easily accessible for the community. Since moving with his family to Arlington, Virginia to serve as Dean and Executive Director of the Lutheran College Washington Consortium, Ed has continued his local civic engagement in Arlington County.
